Kelly Curtis - Bio

Kelly worked as a realtor for 3 years in Victoria, BC before becoming a Mortgage Broker. She began her career in Kelowna, BC after obtaining her Business Diploma from Okanagan College University in 1992. She has been a member of CIMBL (Canadian Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders) and MBABC (Mortgage Brokers Association of BC) since 1993. Kelly sat on the Education Committee from 1998 to 2001 and was a member of the team that wrote the post licensing course for brokers. Kelly also held a board position with MBABC in 2000 and 2001.

She moved to Ontario in 2001 and worked as a Business Development Officer for FirstLine Mortgages in Ontario and British Columbia from 2001 to 2003. She returned to the broker side upon moving to Victoria and joining the Mortgage Centre in 2003. She also held the position of Vice President of MBABC from 2003 to 2005.

Kelly was awarded the #1 Agent in Western Canada and the #3 Agent in Canada for the Mortgage Centre in 2005. Kelly held the position of Ethics Chair and Co-Chair of the Golf Committee from 2003 – 2008 with the BC Mortgage Brokers Association (MBABC). She was awarded the #3 Broker in Canada status by CMP in 2008.

She and her business partner Stephen Gagnon, who moved from Timmins Ontario opened their Mortgage Architects office in 2006. Kelly has two boys – who keep her just as busy as her job!
